Three of our most beloved memoirists have earned their stripes writing about loss. Marian Fontana lost her firefighter husband at the World Trade Center on 9/11. Abigail Thomas‘s husband was hit by a car and suffered traumatic brain injury. Marion Winik‘s husband was in the late stages of AIDS when she assisted his suicide in 1994. Out of these tragedies came three classic memoirs: Fontana’s A Widow’s Walk, Thomas’s A Three Dog Life, and Winik’s First Comes Love. At this unique evening of reading and discussion, the three writers will talk about their work, their lives, and their thoughts for others facing emotional challenges.
